TJPARSONS LINKS

A BRIEF MESSAGE FOR THE LINKS THAT FOLLOW

Most modern web pages have done away with link pages in their format. For the most part, these are things of the past. I want to present to you a page of links that I believe you may find interesting and sometimes perhaps fulfilling in some respect. All links below are ones that I personally endorse and are congruent with themes contained on this page and some aligned personal beliefs, and pleasures.

Have fun, and I hope you find some of the stuff here as  entertaining and or helpful as I did when I first found it.

Also if you have some film festivals you'd like me to include, drop me a line, I've love to add them.

Thanks,
TJPARSONS

Patricia Piccinini

Category: INFLUENCES

 - Patricia Piccinini. The amazing art Patricia Piccinini. Upon first finding her sculptures by accident, I had to do a series of double takes to fully understand what I had found. Science and art merge in bliss to create realistic wonder scenarios.  These sculptures are the closest we may come in a long while into discovering new complex life, but in turn are also a direct root to the subconscious of mother earth. Images are oddly disturbing because of their familiar nature, yet oddly comforting for the same reason.

Samuel French Stage Plays

 - Samuel French is a good resource for stage plays of many types. If you are curious about why I added this particular link search for John Well's "Competition Piece". John Wells was my first Drama teacher and perhaps guilty of lighting a spark which turned into much of what you see here. If it wasn't for him I definitely wouldn't have been involved in the obsession of production, direction, and developing an artform. In this particular play "Competition Piece" I was quite literally a minor character - that is to say that Tom Parsons was played by; you guessed it TJPARSONS.  This play has won countless highschool one act play competitions across the United States and continues to grow in popularity. I have even moved to another state and met people that have played me (this of course is kind of surreal).  If you want your school to win a one act play competition this is a surefire ace up the sleeve that will more than double your chances. If you just want your school's drama department to rake in some money with a good comedy, it can deliver that as well.

SETI at Home

Category: RESOURCES

= This is an amazing idea conceived by SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence). It is a program that you download on your computer that utilizes your computers downtime to interpret radio signals from giant deep space radio telescopes, and send them back to the organization. One or even several computers in a network can perform unfathomable calculations, but when they opened this up to the public it created a an incredibly large network made up of computers across the globe. This link I have provided gives you a chance to participate in the program from home. The more computers involved, the stronger the processing power. At the very least check it out - its an amazing idea, and an incredible program.

Sita Sings The Blues

 - A truly interesting project. Full length movie done in after effects. It depicts an interpretation of the Indian epic "the Ramayana." If you have the slightest belief in promoting open mindedness, or just like to explore other cultures; take a gander.
