TJPARSONS is a Producer, Director, Video and Sound Artist based out of the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Originally from the Shenandoah Valley, he has been writing and overseeing the production of many projects since 1992.

Specializing in Production, Direction, Film and Digital Video Editing, Production Design, Visual and Special Effects, Sound Design, Voice Talent, Animation, Script Writing and Consultation for a variety of Media projects.

Accomplished USC degree in Film Studies and Film Production.

His style has been influenced by David Lynch, Terry Gilliam, Tim Burton, John Waters , Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, George Lucas, William Gibson, Douglas Adams and the modern Rock Musical.

He has been mentored by professionals who have worked on such productions as Twin Peaks, Lord of the Rings, Talladega Nights, as well as children’s programming with the late Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers Neighborhood) in addition to screenwriter Charlie Kauffman and composer Howard Shore.

He has judged, worked film festival circuits, and had his work screened in front of diverse audiences. His humor and sensibility have been said to have a “cross cultural and world wide appeal.” His short films have been shipped from as locally as California and the Midwest to as far away as central China, and South America.

A message from TJPARSONS.
I've always had a fascination with cinema and film ever since my very first memory. In years past I had fascinations with science, art, sculpting, writing, music and design. There was one place where all these areas converged and that was production of media and film. I was relieved to find a field where all the disciplines came together, and more importantly to find and an interdisciplinary field where I found completely at home and it was OK to be overly passionate, obsessive and compulsive.

Mission - At one point in time I was obsessed with making films and the visualization and telling of a story. Its silly to say now, but at one point I just wanted to get things done and not worry if a single soul ever saw it. It then evolved for me in to a creative outlet a creative art form that I found if done in a well planned manner could reach many people with a message or conduct a feeling. I became addicted to the reward of getting people to think, laugh or just react in a unexpected way. I took this idea even further and got an education. I experienced and soaked up as many different parts of the process of making film and media as I could. I also critically analyzed  classics and contemporary pieces.

Included are many resources designed to enrich the lives of film enthusiasts and those interested in what it takes to complete a feature from beginning to end, as well as the causal or just beginning cinemaphile in general. TJParsons.com has purposely designed this electronic oasis to show that filmmaking is an evolutionary process. Starting with early unrefined works, it charts progress into the bigger and more grandiose .  Always remember film is about fun and entertainment and trying to make a dollar or two along the way to finance bigger more ambitious projects.
